In 2004 Rob and Guy Pendergrass founded the George Pendergrass Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization benefiting Leukemia and other blood related cancer research.  The foundation was started in our fathers name who passed away the year prior from Leukemia.  In their dads memory, Rob and Guy wanted to raise money for Leukemia research and people currently being treated for the disease.  Our mission is to raise money for research and support of families dealing with blood related cancers.  Our non-profit supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) eastern chapter by hosting bi-yearly events known as the George Pendergrass Classic.  The George Pendergrass Classic is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament featuring competitors from North Carolina and surrounding states.  The George Pendergrass Foundation also receives support from the US Grappling organization which assists in running these non-profit events.
